There are many ways to show possession or that something belongs to a person or a thing.
1. Possessive Pronouns (e.g. mine, yours, his, hers, ours, theirs)

Compound Words
Compound words are words that are made up of two or more words.
For example: butter + fly = butterfly.

Connectors that tell 'when'
Some connectors that tell the time are "as", "while", "when", "since"
A. Same-time events (when, while)
2. "while" introduces an activity:
a) of longer duration
b) that occurs during or at the same time as another activity.
E.g. While he was talking on the phone, he was scribbling on a piece of paper.
In the above example, "talking" is an activity of longer duration.
B. Since
The connector "since" shows "from that to this moment"
E.g. I have known John since Kindergarten.
Try the following practice.

- Are you able to give some interesting facts about your chosen animal?
- Have you rehearsed your speech?
- Are you able to deliver the presentation without looking / reading from the PowerPoint slides?
- Are you able to speak loudly, clearly and distinctly?
